🗣️ Dillon debrief

(where i pretend to be an opinion columnist)

this one’s for the future business leaders in sports betting and fantasy who we shout out in the banner.

the best entry point into the industry just got posted. it’s the Seasonal Customer Support role at Underdog.

this one hits home for two reasons.

first, i work at Underdog (it’s awesome).
second, it’s the same role i got my start in back in 2014 at Fanduel.

not only is it one of the best ways to break into the industry, it’s high volume, fast learning, and real exposure to how things work under the hood.

these jobs are competitive as hell in the year of 2025, but if you know someone sharp with support skills, forward them this and have them shoot me a message saying why/how they’d crush the role. (after they subscribe, of course.)

🎤 sharp business talk

(money moves and conversations with industry professionals)

Brazil’s (shout out Nene) Senate just approved new restrictions on betting ads, banning celebrity sponsors, limiting when and where operators can advertise, and tightening up team partnerships.

there’s valid concern here that if regulated operators can’t advertise clearly, the black market becomes more attractive by default. i imagine if there was a similar push to restrict in the US, this would be a reason for pushback.

i’m somewhat surprised they did all of this just 12 months into legalization. at the same time, this kind of response isn’t shocking. when any industry grows fast, scrutiny follows.

this is something worth keeping an eye on as a case study.

🧠 insightful insights

(where business insights and sports gambling collide)

*full transparency i didnt even mean to create this graphic i asked AI to make an image to go along with what i had written, thinking it’d be a pic of some person working at a desk or something, but they made me this dope image instead. what a world.

💼 dope jobs

(sports gambling industry jobs and jobs that are dope)

🐾 foot-in-the-door roles

👴 cool unique roles for grizzled vets

🐰 rabbit holes
